Wow -I really enjoyed your articles and comments. I believe you are right on with the current situation in our country. We are buried in debt to keep the latest fashion in clothes and cars etc but cant give to tithes and missions or even to help someone in need, we will stand at a ballgame for hours but cant at church for 5 minutes,we will sit through through 2 and 3 hour @#$%^&*movies but cant sit in church for 1 , we spend more time reading, texting and talking, etc but never spend anytime in God`s Word or prayer. Sad – I have been guilty too
The daughter of Taiwanese business icon Y.C. Wang, Cher Wang is the founder of the HTC Corporation. Wang was born into a family of successful moguls and was encouraged early on to take the initiative in everything from extracurricular activities to studying abroad. She eventually earned her master’s degree in economics and founded HTC in 1997. While her company originally built notebook computers, she urged her partners to switch to building cellphones when she realized their potential. The New York Times reports that her Christian faith is a significant factor in her life and business choices. “Jesus tells us you have to work hard,” Wang says. “I don’t understand the idea of leisure time.”
The faculty members within Crown’s Christian online bachelor’s degree programs have strong faith, the highest level of academic training and significant business experience. Many are committed to teaching while remaining active business leaders and managers. As a result, faculty members bring real-life experience into the online classroom, to provide students with a clear picture of business challenges and opportunities.

What if you could earn $100 a day (and even much more), from promoting this very website online (and others like it)? What if you knew exactly how it was that so many of the self-described “guru’s” made over $100,000 per year simply by affiliate marketing other people’s products? What if you had access to the same knowledge that other “upscale guru’s” are known to charge $2,000 for in “one-on-one coaching seminars”? Do you think there would be any prosperity, or benefits from the knowledge of that in starting your own Christian home business?
Success in business requires the merging of personal passions and professional goals. At King University, the online Bachelor of Business Administration allows students to be nurtured in both. King University’s religious foundation merges with a relevant and career-focused curriculum, allowing students to gain the skills they need for successful and meaningful careers.
Imagine for a second that you obtain an education becoming licensed as a general contractor and home-builder. You learn everything you need to know and have every feasible working knowledge and expertise as to what it takes to build a home. Well, you still have to buy materials, and supplies, as well as continuing education resources to learn masonry, and carpentry, and plumbing.

To work as a consultant, you must purchase one of their start-up kits, priced at $395, $595, or $795. There is a monthly fee for the website, but it is free for the first three to six months, depending on the kit you choose to buy. Premier Designs offers a credit line to their consultants, meaning that the consultants can charge the products to an account and pay for it later when they begin to earn money. While you are not required to have an inventory of jewelry, it can be helpful to sell more at home shows.

However, entrepreneurship can become detrimental to one’s spiritual life if it becomes an idol or if the entrepreneur is serving Mammon rather than God (Luke 16:13). Some entrepreneurs become so immersed in work that they neglect family, friends, their health, and the Lord. When anything takes our total focus for an extended period of time, it can shift our lives out of balance. So Christian entrepreneurs must work to keep priorities straight and remember that a business with God’s blessing will fare better than one without it. The Lord will not tolerate our idols, so a new business owner must work to keep success from becoming more important than anything else.

I also believe that Christian entrepreneurs who are not working in the “church” space should think more ministerially. If you’re successful in business, if you lead people, if you start things, if you earn money, if you influence your community or your culture in the business world, then you ought to be seeking ways to serve other people and to share your faith with people in loving ways.

It just occurred to me on this, my 100th post, that I don’t think I’ve ever really answered the question, “What is a Christian Entrepreneur?” That seems pretty silly of me since it is the name of the blog.  It’s a simple enough question that would seem self explanatory at first glance, but the more you really stop to think about it the deeper and more complex the answer becomes.

Although I was born in a Christian family, it wasn’t until I had a personal encounter with Christ that my faith grew deeper. As an Christian entrepreneur, I knew God had given me certain gifts and talents so I could bless others through it. It was through such a calling that Clothed in Scarlet was born. As I learnt more about Jesus and soaked myself in the Scriptures, I was amazed at how God would often teach me Biblical principles I could implement in my own business. The emails I receive from women worldwide are proof that God was blessing many through my business.

Below is a list of faith based Christian businesses many of whom are involved in helping to break poverty cycles or contribute directly to missions based organizations.  This is not meant to be a complete list, but helpful for those interested.  If you have or know of other faith based business groups that are helping to advance God's Kingdom, please contact us and we would be happy to add to the list.
Nice post but while it sounds good in theory, faith based businesses don’t work well. My first passion as a Christian who loves tech was to create a business that would serve the community. I started from an events platform to an online radio station. I did this because I identified gaps in the market. There wasn’t any doubt that it would meet a need. However, most people wanted to use the services for free. Had many who came for what they could get and then left when they were asked to pay. They seem happy to pay with a “God will bless you”. However after many God bless you, there were no money to keep things afloat and they fail miserably.
Grace & Heart is a direct sales company that markets themselves as “a community of friends founded on passion and purpose.” They sell faith-inspired sterling silver and genuine stone jewelry through their consultants, which are called “Bravehearts.” The jewelry pieces range from $29 to $200, so there is something for everyone and for every occasion. All jewelry is handcrafted in the United States.

Well what do you reckon on this? When my wife and I moved to a different area in England and attended (for the first time!!) a new Church where we knew nobody (over 100 miles from where we had previously lived!!) a talk “A Church Jesus Would Go To ” (also down for the weekend was my mother in law!!!) I got a word of knowledge regarding a gift of extreme creative entrepreneur thinking that had been given me and it should be harnessed. Now the Church (the same Church we attended for the talk) to this day we are still members of and my wife regularly attends is an Anglican Church, holy spirit lead and filled with level headed, sensible followers of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I had the option to believe this or reject it. I have chosen to believe it and hope this can encourage other christain entrepreneurs “to stick in there”. Pray about your new venture , about if it aligns with God’s purpose for your life OR do reject it (your choice !!!)…… OR be obedient and be lead by God and forge ahead with God leading. In my heart of hearts I believe Jesus uses us in all ways to spread his word and being in business is just another way we should embrace
From a Christian social justice perspective, many have called the distinction between regional and national accreditation a cartel that is a major injustice that hurts the poor.  Having said that, there are those that still maintain this distinction, so we address their concerns in this section. This letter from Dr. Leah Matthews addresses some concerns about the quality of DEAC accreditation.
With the Internet, the results are entirely dependent on you, and you alone. If you fail, you have no one to blame but yourself. Similarly, if you put your nose to the grindstone, and truly work at this, you can follow the path of becoming one of the many $100,000 per year earners… and yes though it is the exception, some do this in their very first year in their Christian home business! It all depends on what you are willing and able to put into this. Whether you desire $100 per week, $1,000 a month, or $100,000 per year, they are all possible and attainable.
Students pursuing licensing in fields that often require a master’s degree from a regionally accredited school, such as Counseling or Social Work. It is because of this reason that City Vision does not offer master’s programs in these fields. As listed above, regional master’s programs to date have always accepted our bachelor’s degrees, but the decision is up to each individual school.

This is provided as a sample degree completion plan for a full-time transfer student, but students can chose any degree completion plan as long as it meets the graduation requirements for their degree. Students not near graduation should also consider taking courses outside their major to meet their general education requirements or take any course to count toward their total credit requirements for their degree.
Consultants earn 50% commission on the retail price of the jewelry, and each consultant makes an average of $200 per show. By creating a new team or “family”, consultants can earn more commissions. The more you earn with Premier Designs, the greater the perks and discounts off jewelry. There are no monthly quotas, allowing you to work as much or as little as you want.
There have been over 100 lawsuits against the contraception coverage mandate in the Affordable Care Act, with a majority of them being filed by so-called “faith-based” businesses. In some cases, with religious educational institutions like Notre Dame, the affiliation makes sense. In others, such as Hobby Lobby, the designation becomes a little more tenuous. After all, does giving millions of dollars in profit to religious groups and organizations really mean that you yourself are a faith-based business? Or does it just mean you’re using your own specific belief system when you are trying to whittle down your profits in order to minimize your tax liability?
Entrepreneurship is as much a process as it is a set of traits. However, certain traits are essential to success and play an important role in how the entrepreneurial process unfolds. These traits–faith, perseverance, sacrifice, and service–are integral characteristics of the Christian as well.  God admires them and encourages us to admire them, too.
For experienced marketers, maybe one problem you have is a lack of products that you can promote as your own, or a general lack of direction as you’ve gotten spun in 20 different directions by “gurus” along with garbage products giving you poor information. Either way, we have got you covered. You’ve heard the saying, “You don’t know what you don’t know“, right? That may sound silly, but it succinctly describes to perfection the greatest problem that both aspiring Internet entrepreneurs and Christian work from home seekers tend to face.
